We do not know the nature of the path
waiting for mystery fruits to ripen
reasoning left behind, left hand forked
resistance is fertile - focus demands precedence
practice makes space for inventive states

Directing flow, opening energy channels
songs as sigils - sounding a release into the air
waves have no edge, just through
phase patterns of continuous germination
spring’s frothing flotsam; growth’s erosion

Undertows take centre stage
oscillating spirits of an age unchained
unmasking risk as ever-present, integral
rivers convolute before they separate
distancing, in time, to integrate.

This collection was compiled by Jackson Darby & Destiny Rosenberg winter 2020-2021 and comprises contributions from players in our shared musical communities throughout Montreal, Toronto & Hamilton. Personal Moments Vol. 2 represents an array of projects who either have or will release material with Personal Records or are friends of the label. We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all those involved for lending us their singular talents - it feels especially heartwarming in this period of abundant distance to hear so many unique voices unified in sound.
